A day to take in Urquhart Castle and Inverness

We took this first this first full day in Inverness to do a bit of sight seeing and getting our bikes completely assembled.  We, of course, started out with a fine breakfast.

We then got on the road and took a trip to Urquhart Castle. The country side we drove through was incredibly stunning.

It looked like a fine place to fix up but alas it is a national Scottish treasure.

We got to take tour of the ruins.  As it is in a very cool place, it has been fought over for centuries.

Another view as we are about to enter

Within the Castle walls

Three of the Hoi Polloi waving to their king.

Two of the locals named Don and Ian being released from the dungeon and being photographed by national photographer, Lori.

Randy and Beth are thinking about buying Urquhart and are looking over their most likely new investment.

Back in the town of Inverness, Sue and Don are loitering at the Inverness Castle that also houses govt offices including the sheriff.

On the way to dinner in the eve, we observed a church with a lovely garden in front.

We arrived at the Contrast Brasserie restaurant with a huge monkey puzzle tree in front.

We enjoyed a top notch dinner.  Allan, on the left, is Ian's brother who joined us for our bike ride.

On the way back to the B&B, we marched in step across one of the local bouncy bridges so see of we could induce a huge bridge wave.  The bridge did not fall down.  :>)
